Our Mission

It all started with a lifeguard shift.
Patrick Dagher, a college-bound student and lifeguard, wasn’t allowed to leave his post just a water bottle filling station at his side. With no access to traditional drinks, he began wondering: what if soda could come in a more portable, sustainable form? That spark of frustration became the seed for Sizzle Pop. As he began his studies at Hofstra University, Patrick dove into experimenting with formulas between classes, determined to bring his idea to life. Along the way, he built a powerhouse team  Gavin Porter, Regan Kaye, and Tim O’Brien each bringing their unique skills to help elevate the vision. But for Patrick, the mission was bigger than convenience. Growing up visiting Lebanon, he saw firsthand how plastic bottles and cans from soda were polluting beaches and neighborhoods. That environmental crisis fueled his drive to create a cleaner, more sustainable way to enjoy soda one that didn’t leave waste behind.

The team’s hard work and innovation culminated in a pitch competition at Hofstra, where their passion and purpose stood out. They took first place, proving that a simple idea powered by creativity, grit, and the right people could become something that truly makes a difference
